    Suitable and
    For Development

    Based on the topography and geology of the candidate site, information on the surrounding geothermal wells, and past survey data, we select suitable sites with high power output and commercialization potential.

  • ② Regional
    Partnerships

    Formulate joint business plans (including investment and fund procurement, etc.) with local communities, and at the same time form regional consensus on development and projects.

  • ③ Resource
    Surveys

    In order to confirm the subterranean structure of the candidate site, historical data is reviewed and a physical survey is performed (artificial seismic electrical survey).

  • ④ Geothermal
    Well Drilling

    Drilling and excavation of the injection well are carried out to more accurately identify the location of the reservoir layer.

  • ⑤ Feasibility
    Study

    Calculate potential power generation based on the amount of thermal energy in the production well measured after excavation.

  • ⑥ Design / Application

    After deciding on commercialization, detailed design of the power plant is carried out, an ID is acquired from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and a grid connection agreement with the electric grid company is established.

  • ⑦ Finance

    The Financial Division within the group is qualified as a Type II financial instruments trading business, and can propose and implement a comprehensive financial solution for development.

  • ⑧ Power plant
    construction

    Procure necessary components including generators, and construct power plants based on compliance with laws and regulations. Trial runs are then conducted.

  • ⑨ Grid connection

    Connect the power plant to the grid and start the sale of electricity generated.

  • ⑩ Maintenance
    and management

    We will conduct remote monitoring on a 24-hour basis using specialised monitoring system. If there is abnormality in power generation, we carry out onsite maintenance and repair.

About Our GeothermalAbout Our Geothermal

The Group’s Geothermal Division comprises a power generation business, cooperating with regional partners and also investing in and managing internal projects. Through joint projects financial resources and technical know-how are brought to the region, with the goal of promoting regional business in the future. Even with a small number of clean and stable base load power sources that can be self-sufficient, we will contribute to the national policy of lowering emissions and improving energy self-sufficiency.

It is possible to map the structure of the reservoir layer through an artificial seismic electrical survey (SE method), a survey technology developed for deep shale oil exploitation. By idenfitying the exact position and shape of the reservoir layer, we will increase the success rate of drilling, which is the most difficult part of the process, and as a result, we will greatly reduce commercialization risk.

The ORC power generation system can cope with relatively low temperatures, reducing the cost and implementation time required for development. Moreover, the maintenance requirements are low, and as a result it can maintain a high level of utilization factor. Among the ORC power generation systems, the PC 280 using a shell & tube type heat exchanger is superior in stability and maintainability, and it can realize higher utilization rate. In addition, reasonable pricing contributes to improved business yield.

※Both buying and leasing are possible. Land must be available for more than 20 years of continuous use in case of leasing. We are happy to also receive consultation requests regarding issues outside of the below cases. In the case of farmland, agricultural land designated in the agriculture promotion area development plan cannot be developed. If the land is not a designated part of the agriculture promotion aread development plan, it is possible to develop. We can carry out a free, basic survey to assess suitability for use as land for geothermal power genaration.
